Respite Services
Respite refers to short term, temporary care provided to seniors or disabled people in order that their families can take a break from daily caregiving. One of the important purposes of respite is to give family members free time and temporarily relieve the stress they may experience while providing care for a family member or friend. Respite care enables families to take vacations, meet personal appointments or to simply rest and relax. Respite is often referred to as a gift of time.
Respite at The Cottage of Emmanuel Community features all the comforts of home. The Cottage features private rooms, secured access, a spacious lounge with fireplace, dining room, and spa. An individualized plan of care is designed to meet your needs during your stay.
Services may include:
- Nutritious meals and snacks
- Social events and life enrichment activities
- Bathing, including whirlpool baths
- Aqua massage
- Personal cares
- Medication assistance
- Hair care
- Nail care
- Laundry
- Guest meals
- Safety Checks
- Transportation
Call to arrange respite services for a few hours, overnight, or for extended periods of time. Our caregivers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays.
