Senior Companion Program
Serving with compassion, caring as friends, senior companions are volunteers who know how to be a friend. Senior Companions are 60 years of age or older and are paired with seniors or disabled individuals who need assistance with daily tasks in their home. They provide friendship and encouragement to help clients remain active and involved in their community and in things they enjoy. Services are provided free of charge to eligible clients.
Senior Companions may provide assistance with:
- Simple household tasks
- Grocery shopping
- Paying bills
- Writing letters
- Filling out forms
- Assistance or transportation to medical appointments or social events

For more information or to find out if you qualify for a senior companion, call 1-800-563-8150 or 218-847-4486 or visit www.seniorcorps.org.

The Emmanuel Senior Companion program is supported by the Becker County United Way, Emmanuel Foundation, and Older American Act Funds in partnership with Lutheran Social Services.
Community Caregivers Program
This Faith in Action Volunteer Program provides assistance to seniors and disabled persons in Becker County through a network of volunteers, congregations, and agencies.
