Emmanuel Community is a certified CORE facility (Center for Orthopedic Rehabilitation), signifying we have met strict standards in quality patient care. We are committed to helping people regain functionality through a multidisciplinary coordinated effort and focus on achieving your goals while educating you throughout the process. This program is for people who may require 2-3 weeks of intensive therapy to recover from orthopedic surgery or fractures.
Palliative Care
Death is an essential part of living and life, dignity, and peace are integral parts of our palliative or end-of-life care. Just as we honor the people we serve in life, we honor them as we “Walk a Person Home.”
We are there in support of each person and their loved ones, providing comfort cares, support and education. Death is very much a deeply personal and spirtiual experience. We support each person’s own approach with music, reading and writing materials, aromatherapy lotions and sprays, snacks, and other personal comfort items are provided for families and friends.
Wound Care
Our Director of Nursing at Emmanuel Community has been certified by the National Alliance of Wound Care as a Wound Care Specialist and is highly respected for her skill in this type of care. Wounds caused by circulatory problems, diabetes, and other conditions affect approximately five million Americans annually. Wounds requiring specialty treatment range from pressure ulcers to surgical and traumatic wounds, and burns.
Nutrition Services
Emmanuel Community’s Registered Dietitian leads a dining service that attends to all the nutritional needs of every resident.
As with other approaches at Emmanuel Community, we take a bigger picture approach to dining services. We strive to enhance health with nutrient dense foods and fresh, natural whole foods. Nutritional well-being is affected by a resident’s surroundings, and their physical, emotional, and social needs. Addressing all these areas promotes an increase in nutrient consumption. We also strive to empower each resident to make their own informed choices in nutritional excellence through education provided to them by the dietician.
